San Antonio- The NBA today announced that San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker was named to the league's All-NBA Second Team for the 2013-14 season. It marks Parker’s fourth overall and third consecutive All-NBA honor.

The selection marks the 39th time in team history that a Spurs player has been selected to an All-NBA team, which includes 19 First Team selections, 11 Second Team selections and nine Third Team selections. Parker joins Tim Duncan (14), David Robinson (10) and George Gervin (7) as the only Spurs players in franchise history to be named to an All-NBA team four-or-more times.

Parker was also named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2012 and 2013 and was an All-NBA Third Team selection in 2009, when he became the first European-born point guard to be named to an All-NBA team.

In 2013-14, Parker averaged a team-high 16.7 points and 5.7 assists to go along with 2.3 rebounds in 29.4 minutes, while shooting .499 (456-914) from the floor and .811 (197-243) from the free throw line. It marked the fourth consecutive season the guard has led the team in both scoring and assists. This past season he also became the fourth player in franchise history to record 16,000 points in his career, joining Tim Duncan, David Robinson and George Gervin.

Helping guide the Spurs to a league-best 62-20 overall record in 2013-14, Parker led the team in scoring 27 times and in assists on 41 occasions. He scored in double-figures in 58 games, posted 20-plus points in 23 contests and 30-plus points in three games.

Joining Parker on the All-NBA Second Team are Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, forwards Blake Griffin of the Clippers and Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves and center Dwight Howard of the Rockets.

The All-NBA Teams were chosen by a panel of 125 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. The media voted for All-NBA First, Second and Third Teams by position with points awarded on a 5-3-1 basis.
